Born in Burnley, Lancashire in 1966.

Studied art and sculpture at the University of Central Lancashire. Began working as a professional artist in 1987 with a photorealistic style working mainly in pencils.

In 1987 started demonstrating art material techniques for Derwent Pencils and then Daler Rowney in 2001.

Lecturer of A level art, graphics and 3D design at Nelson & Colne College.

1999 to 2003. In 2000 had his first solo exhibition of pastel work, this really launched his career as an artist.

Most recently putting a new collection of work together exploring portraiture, landscape and figurative subjects in oil, pastel and pencil.
