I make jewellery using various metals, mainly sterling silver
and copper. I’ve always had a love of shiny things and began
making simple jewellery when I was 16. Now, nearly 18 years on,
my designs have advanced and pieces have become much more intricate.
My hobby has become my passion with rarely a day passing without
the conception of a new design.
My work contains many contradictions; whilst I have a deep appreciation
for pattern and form, symmetry and tessellation, I am also intrigued
by serendipity, chance and unpredictability.
Therefore, my jewellery consists of uniform pieces made in chain
mail weaves, through to pieces that “just happened”
whilst I was playing with a length of wire! I rely heavily on my
natural instinct and a piece is complete only when it feels “right”.
I love what I do and I believe this is reflected in the finished
works I create.
